Gateway Girlfriends is our women's ministry here at Gateway Church. We're all about laughing, relaxing, chatting, working, cooking, and having fun! Most importantly though, we're about growing in our Loving Savior, Jesus Christ, and becoming all that He designed us to be!
We're here for you - when you feel like you're on the mountain top and when you're in the valley of a bad day with crying kids, or an unexpected crisis. No matter where you find yourself in life, everyone can use another Girlfriend!
We meet every 3rd Thursday of the Month at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Saturday Night Prayer 6pm
An all church night of focused prayer as we pray for our church, our city, our state and our nation as the Lord leads us in intercession.
The Compassion Ministry of Gateway Church, through volunteer services, seeks to show compassion by demonstrating the hands and feet of Jesus to our neighbors and community. We exist to meet the real needs of people so that the gospel can be effective as we feed and live in solidarity with those who suffer poverty, hunger and have fallen under hard times, as spiritual change is offered, the connection to the church is realized.
We provide monthly food assistance (3rd Saturday of every month 9am-12pm to our neighboring community) We presently service approximately 75 households and distribute 13,709 pounds of food monthly.
Balance is the young adult community at Gateway Church. We aim to provide the young adults of Shreveport and Bossier City a place to connect with each other, grow together in relationship with Jesus Christ, and extend his love to others. No matter what your story or background is, we welcome you to be a part of the community.
Why Life Group?
How many people do you know at Gateway Church? How well do you know them? Do you know their hopes, dreams, fears, and struggles? Would they call you during a family emergency? Consider this, the New Testament admonishes us to, “Be devoted to one another…Honor one another… Accept one another” (Romans 12:10; 15:7), “encourage one another” (2 Corinthians 13:11), “serve one another” (Galatians 5:13), “spur one another on toward love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24), and “love one another deeply, from the heart” (1 Peter 4:9). But how can we fulfill these, and the many other “one another” passages of scripture, if we don’t know one another? Our fast paced, over programmed lives leave little room to build the type of relationships that allow us to live out the scriptures above. Life Groups provide the structure needed to support healthy spiritual growth throughout our Gateway family.
We want everyone who walks through our doors on Sunday mornings to experience life at Gateway. That’s means that we must work diligently to becoming family with one another so that we can encourage each other in our faith.
